Slide the Nortel Grey Bar above the Hold & Rls buttons to reveal the setup button.

1. Hit that button to show *Options List / # Setup list
2. Press * to go into options.
3. Use the arrow buttons or hit 3 to go into CLEAR MESSAGE WAITING
4. Then hit 3 again to clear the message waiting

This should resolve the blinking light.

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Sounds Like the LCD Display unit is Faulty.

The aastra uses a page pair (pins 1&6 in jack 2) between the sets.which would require a 6 conductors from 1 to another which means you'll have to terminate the 3rd pair (white/green) from set to set and a 6 conductor cord. next you to program the page key if not allready done thats done by: pressing the set options key,pressing # to enter setup list, press 7, press 7 again to add a page key, press a memory key, and press save.

Contact your phone company to make sure the stutter tone and/or feature for Voice mail notification is on. I too had the same problem many years ago with AT&T (Then SBC) to correct this.

Sir, the problem with the phone is its sidetones. It is broken. Usually, you have to take this phone to a technician to fix this but it will never be the same as before. So i suggest that you buy a new phone.

your phone is not dying. Once you pick up a phone press 9. This will automatically grab a line. Dial your number.

It's in your settings. Just try to change the ringing mode. Set plain instead of ascending

Contact Nortel since they make meridian systems and see what the problem is. It could be the plastics, the dye, something in the heaser, or some residue casuing an elergic reaction.

Some meridian phones allow for a headset to be installed at the bottom of the phone. The headet jack should be labeled on the botton of the phone if you have one. That could solve the problem as well.
