- Double click the "Hard Drive" icon.
- Double click the "Applications" folder.
- Double click the "Utilities" folder.
- Double click "System Profiler".
- Click the "Devices and volumes" tab.
- Look at the USB tree to confirm that the controller is
listed.

Logitech Wing man serial and it supported up to OS 10.5 Your
imac is at least Snow Leopard witch does not support this controller.

I suggest you to contact the Logitech support for a replacement this is an hardware failure and it's covered by warranty terms.
If you are not under warranty you still can contact them as I know for instance in Europe they can offer you some good deal on nowadays products.
