With internal/external hard drives being as low in price as they are, I'd recommend the easiest solution as follows: Buy the SSD you want and an external sled for mounting the drive. Clone your current HDD to the sledded SSD. This would allow you to navigate through to see if there are indeed two partitions on the device. While not having used it in a few years, there are two apps that I've had success with: Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper! Install a new HDD. Press and hold Command, Option and R keys with a keyboard connected via USB. Power the mac on whilst holding down the keys. Release the keys when the globe shows and select your router code then download the OS for your mac. Install the OS. It takes some time to do this!

You probably don't have the right codec installed to play the videos you downloaded. Try installing Perian from http://www.perian.org/. This adds support for more types of videos.

You do not need to setup AirDrop as such. Just turn on the wifi and on the Finder sidebar go to AirDrop.

• Dust buildup in the computer prevents proper cooling, so the fans have to work harder.

First of all, you need to download MACTUBES, a program for Mac which allows you to copy videos from YouTube to your computer. Second, you need an external drive for Mac such as the USB SUPER DRIVE where you can insert dvds. From there, use any program you have to burn the video onto a dvd.

Sounds to me like your eMail client configuration is incorrect...
Is this a new problem where you were able to send an receive mail no problem before and now this ?
I suspect it is a new set-up.
It looks like you entered your eMail address where the software was asking for the address of the SMTP mail server...
Port 465 is for a secure SMTP Server.
Normally, the SMTP server port is 25 or 26. Have you modified your eMail settings lately ? Or maybe it works well from home but not when you are on another network....

So, when you are connected to the bigpond network, you must use their SMTP server:
mail.bigpond.com
Otherwise, it will reject the connection.
When you are away from the bigpond network, you might have to ask your host or whoever, who provides the highspeed internet access ? and then google for their smtp server,
ex: securenet.net smtp server earthlink smtp server

you will quickly and easily find this server and all you have to do is enter it temporarily into your SMTP server field in your eMail client settings making sure to set it back to bigpond once you are back home..
THis should get you back on your way again.

HI Jennie If your using a recent Mac with say Maverics OSX then it may be in an off screen window. Try these Keys Ctrl & Page up (Arrow Key).... then Choose Movie Window Ctrl & Page down (Arrow Key).... The Settings for this are kept in Settings / Mission Control I think this will allow you to see the offscreen alternate windows. Netflix is an on line Internet player from a Paid service. I don't use the same method or app as you so I'm not sure this will work. I use an Application to play movies from my external hard drive and I get the same off screen window that you seem to be describing. Good Luck Trevor Other Notes: I use VLC to play all my movies of my hard drive (a free download & it plays every codec type avi, mp4 etc) I keep the Icon for VLC in my bottom dock. When I double click the VLC icon in the dock the window switches to the current movie playing, If your using a different movie player program then just double click it's icon in the bottom dock. (e.g. Quicktime Player) If you do switch to VLC then use the Cmd I (Info) on each type of movie (e.g. .mp4) In the Cmd I , Menu , choose "Open With" and select VLC as the preferred player (after you have installed VLC of course) then click the "Change All" button. From then on all MP4's movie types will be played by VLC.

Usually this is caused by a USB printer unnecessarily clamoring for attention.

That is a rather general error from an internet server. They usually occur when you are visiting a web page that can't be displayed properly due to errors in the code, in this case, they were trying to display HTML code from their system directly in your email. If it came in a spam email, you don't need to worry about it.
If it came from a company or person that you needed to see what they were sending you, contact them and tell them you got a 500 server error, and forward them the email so they can figure it out. It will have to be fixed on their end
