Scroll wheel doesn't work
Return the mouse for a replacement under the warranty.
The mice only use a 3 DC Volts of power as a rule and thus there is not enough energy to shock you. You may be experiencing Static Charge due to low humidity in your room. Even if you used a wired mouse, directly connected to the computer, you would not get a shock. As for the wheel not working, that would be a function within the mouse whereby a replacement should be made.

If the power cells are new, both the keyboard and mouse are powered correctly (Battery I assume are positioned correctly). If Neither one operates, then check the small dongle that fits into the USB port. It may have been loosened, and if so just pull it from the port and reinsert it in another port. If still no connection, then the dongle may have burned out. The problem: Once a dongle is spent, the entire set is useless as they operated on an audio signal (Frequency) set for that mouse/keyboard. No replacements.
Will trackball model 64215 work on Windows 7?
The last operating system that allows a Kensington Expert Mouse 5.0 Model 64215 to work properly is Windows XP. Kensington refuses to update their MouseWorks software in order to make it compatible with Windows Vista or 7. Touch pad will not scroll i have google chrome
Does the mouse work everywhere else and just not chrome???
Go to your control panel in Windows and remove any software that came with the mouse. Then restart your computer. Don't worry, Windows has its own software to make the mouse work.
