ball joint bolt smack the knuckle where the ball joint is to remove and flip the knuckle out of the way, use pry bar to pop halfshaft out of tranny. while installing new one make sure the splines line

Need to separate lower control arm ball joint from spindle assy, and then pull it out of the way for shaft to clear. Need a ball-joint removal tool, like tuning fork style, or proper puller/press tool
