r13 For someone to assist you provide much more information. So, I will assume what you are seeing is r13 on the LCD. That is the number of shots the buffer can handle. Read page 36 in the D80 manual.

Is r13 an error message? If so, what is the error? No. It's merely telling you how many more pictures you can take in the current burst before the buffer fills.

r13 for Nikon D90 "rXX" is just the camera estimation of how many shots left on the memory card.
