can't locate the thermostat housing on my 2003 vibe - I thought you could follow the heater hose back to the top of the engine block. I believe the thermostat is in the radiator filler cap spout

How do you replace a thermostat on a 2005 pontiac vibe? you remove the bolts holding the rad hose on top of the engine and pull the thermostat out and replace it then reattach the hose

My heater blows cold when sitting at a stop light and when in idle. I have checked the anti freeze; it is full. What else should I check? It heats up fine while driving or if I kee my foot on the gas.
