Question about 2001 Focus

My Focus stalled as we were driving .

Focus stalled as we were driving . I checked the fuel pump ,Spark plugs, air cleaner , oil and spark plug wires, all O.K. Could it be the coil & how do I test it? Thanks , Confused how old is ur focus
