I put the multimeter on the 12v car powercord and get 5v, but the led will not light up. Is this fixable for less than $10. ?
Orginal whistler power cords do not have LEDs lights in them and there is no electronics in the plug - 12 volts in, 12 volts out. Sounds like you have a bad cord or a cord that is meant for a GPS unit or other 5 volt device.
