IMedia 2050 projector does not show picture

This can mean the lamp has come to the end of its service life. They are usually expensive so it may be time for a new machine. A technician should be able to tell you if it is a lamp failure pretty easily.

How do I reset the lamp timer on an Acer X1320WH

Press the MENU button. Use the < > arrows to get to the OPTION menu. Press the ENTER button. Select LAMP RUN TIME. Press and hold the ENTER button for about 3 seconds. The 'lamp time reset' will display. Press OK and press the ENTER button. This will reset the lamp hours as well as turn off the projector.
Here is the manual in PDF, on page 33 you can see how to reset the lamp hours.

I have an InFocus LP640 that will not fire up. When I press the power button, the fan starts and the display shows the startup message but then it shuts itself off.

what were you doing before it started doing this..don't be afraid to say that you were 'messing' around and 'accidentally' deleted something or other...how else are we going to understand the thing. if you weren't messing with it...then do you have antivirus?? firewall?? how old is the machine?? could be that the MBR(master boot record) is corrupt. get a hold of UBCD( ultimate boot cd) 4.0 or any version higher than that. its free and on the net. there are tools on it that can help you get up and running again.

Inherited above without any manual, need free download.

I was not aware that Sanyo was in the PC market. According to the model you gave, PLC-SU15B, that's a lamp. Can you double check the brand/model

I wanted to know how to tell how many lamp hours are left on a NEC VT47 LCD Projector- also how does the lamp hours work? if you have 2000 hours does that mean the lamp life is over or you have 2000 hours...

if the bulb has 2000 hours that means it is supposed to last 2000 hours of continual use. It is hard to keep track of the lamp hours though unless the projector has a timer built in. It depends on the manufacturer as to if it is telling you 2000 hours left or used. There should be a way to switch this. But a lamp rated for 2000 hours has 2000 hours of being on is expected lifetime
