Model 57915.331 keeps tripping my 20 amp breaker. I did an amp test on the breaker and it will pull 43-45 amps for three to 4 seconds when the compressor begins to kick in. ambient temps have been running 115 degrees roof top temp is around 140 - 150 degrees. What is causing to amp cycle length before compressor kicks in?

Could be loose wires at the compressor terminal.
But most likely a capacitor is going bad.
Replace the capacitor and maybe add a Hard Start Kit.

I have a breaker that keeps tripping and when I have my washer that is on a diferent breaker, on and I turn on the 20 amp breaker in question, my washer sounds like I am shooting 220 into it

breaker problems especially ones that are connected to something that causes shocks should be investigated by an accredited electrician immediately and certainly not after months or just left off
Imagine how you will feel if some child unknowingly turns on the equipment and gets shocked
It a 10 amp breaker trips it is because of a problem in the washing machine
If a 20 amp breaker trips and still produces noises in a washing machine I would be pulling the plug on the machine until I had it checked out professionally
As I have said , the wiring in the premises needs to be checked professionally first and then have the machine checked by an accredited service technician
Remember your next shock could be your last

No lights upstaires circuit breaker keeps tripping

Jan 2013
1) Move wire to another same-size circuit breaker to eliminate bad circuit breaker as suspect.
Do NOT increase size of breaker or it will cause fire.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-circuit-breaker.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-household-electricity.html

2) Put hand on each appliance and outlet to see which ones are warm. Outlet should never be warm or hot. Replace outlet. Inspect wires for loose and burned connections.

3) If the breaker is good, then add up total watts being used by checking watt rating on each device. 100 watt light bulb is 100 watts. Big screen TV has a label that shows 300 to 500 watts. Computer has label. Space heater has label showing 1500 watts. Iron has a watt rating label. Take total watts and divide by 110Volts and this will give amp load. Total watts used = 2000 and then divide 2000 by 110 volts = 18.8 amps
Compare amp load with circuit breaker.
20 amp circuit breaker has 80% safe maximum, or 16 amps.
If amp load is 18.8 amps, then 20 amp breaker is starting to get hot, and weak breaker will start tripping.
If amp load is 18.8 amps, and breaker is 15 amps, then you are overloaded and breaker is feeling the heat, and tripping because of heat.
Solution is to reduce amp load.

4) If you have short circuit, that can also trip breaker.
Unplug everything and then plug things back in slowly to see which plug or appliance is causing the problem.

When the welder is first turned on I can weld with gas for about 5 seconds. Then the breaker trips. ( i have the proper wiring and breaker). The more times I reset the breaker the shorter the weld time...

Hi:
Just make sure that if you are using an extension cable between your machine and the power outlet, this cable is at least a 12 gauge size, if you are using a 14 or 16 it's too small to handle the amps.
Other point is to check that your breaker is 20 or 30 Amp capacity.
Hope this help.

Keep tripping breakers can i just remove the 15 amp breaker and replace it with a 20 amp ??

I would not go to larger breaker size until I knew why 15 amp breaker is trippingIf you find out that 15 amp breaker is tripping because it is being overloaded or that breaker is getting weak. Then I would replace breaker with the same size because they may have wired some with 14-2 wire instead 12-2, I would not feel comfortable pulling 20 amps, on 14-2 wire. That is my suggestion for what it's worth. Thank you.

I keep reseting my 15 amp breaker daily. I even moved the unit.

No. The unit is only supposed to pull 9.1 amps. (wattage divided by voltage equals amps) Your unit has a short, or your breaker is bad. Turn on the unit, when it trips the breaker see if the breaker is hot, If so, thats an indication the breaker is bad.

I have a bosch dishwasher model # I believe is SHX4AP05UC it keeps tripping my braker in the middle of washing wont complete a cycle any suggestions?

Adam, in order to help you, you must provide me with more info. What size breaker is tripping. What does the maufactor's manual reads about what size circuit it must be plugged into. If your house is a little old you probably have a 10 amp breaker that is tripping. If so than the manufaturer states theat it is recomamded to place it onto a 20 amp breaker. Only switch out the 10 map breaker to a 20 amp breaker if your the wire from the breaker is a 12 gauge wire.
Do not put a 20 amp breaker onto a 14 guage wire because it will most likely melt the insulation due to heat whichwill expose the bare copper wire which could lead to burning your house down.

Ricoh ap 400n keeps blowing fuse

This is more than likely a statement of the electrical supply to the printer.

Laser printer's typically require a high in rush amperage to keep the fuser lamp and fuser warm. You can see the effect of this by looking at the lights in the room. If the lights dim about every four seconds its because the printer is pulling a higher amperage from your electrical system.

Normally, laser printers are "Strongly Suggested" to be on a dedicated 20 amp line. If you are using them on a normal 15 amp line that is also supplying other receptacles and devices, when the fuser demand peaks it may be enough to trip the circuit.

Now, there are a couple of ways to fix this. One is to upgrade the entire circuit to 20 amp. That include a 20 amp breaker, 12 AWG wire and a 20 amp receptacle.

If you cannot do this, then switching either the fuse or the breaker or a "Slow Blow" may help you. This type of fuse or breaker will add a delay into the "trip" part of the circuit.

Is there anything else on the same breaker? Is that the proper amperage for the pump? How long has the pump been in service? It may need to be cleaned as possible obstruction causing too much strain.
