Toshiba laptops tend to have a problem with the a leg of a chip detaching from the motherboard. The symptom is that the laptop powers on, but no video on the LCD and/or external monitor, also hd light does not show any status, you can check by twisting firmly and holding the base of the laptop, but not breaking the laptop and powering it on, in most cases it will start powering on as it normally would until you let the pressure off the base (twist). This problem seems to happen right after 1 year and warranty is up.

It is sometimes possible to fix this problem by soldering the leg of the chip back on to the motherboard. The problem is that there are many chips and hundreds of legs, altho 50% change it can be done and should last for another year.

Stuck in drive

Hello

This problem is sometimes caused by a defective brake light switch. It provides power to the shift lock switch to enable gear shifting. There is a TSB for this issue so it can be fixed at the dealer for free.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

You have to contact Frigidaire and let them know that the unit is just 3yrs old however, the warranty is around 5yrs and if its even 3yrs they will replace the part without parts cost. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

The manual states when running on AC, it is the same sine wave ouptput that comes in. When running on DC, it is a modified sine wave.

Correlation coefficient of sine regression?

Hello,
The correlation coefficient does not have meaning (is not defined) for most regression models. Check you theory to make sure it exits for the sine regression.
An easy way to verify that, is to use the Command DiagnosticOn, accessible through the catalog [2nd][0] (CATALOG) . Press [X^-1] (D) to jump to first command that starts with D. Scroll down to DiagnosticOn, select it and press [ENTER]. Calculator replies Done.

Do your sine regression again. If the correlation coefficient has meaning for this type of regression, you will find it with the other statistical variables. You may have to scroll down the statistical variable list to verify the whole contents of the list.

Hope it helps.
Thank you for rating the solution.

Maxtor 3200 harddrive broken

First thing First, detect and isolate the problem:

take the HD and connect it to the computer (DATA AND POWER CABLES right connected) and see if Operative System detects it and you can partition, format and write and move data to and inside it without problems.

If you can and the system works OK with that... your HD is working so take a breath. If not... you HD is down and well... there is not much to do without expending money.

If you succeed, just try powering your case without the HD and of course with the right power supply... the one that comes with the case. if the case can be powered for a few hours with no problems nor rare noises... connect the HD to it and try.

The info you are giving is very incomplete, I don`t know what you did, what system are you operating, Do not know what you know about computers, so I do not know what to explain and what you know already.

Good Luck
