Unfortunately there is no way of recovering your password however if you reset your router it will allow you to connect to the internet without a password however this will make your router unsecure. To reset press and hold the reset button in the back of the modem for 15 seconds or until router resets, You may want to secure your router after, depending on what type of router you have you will want to go directly to the router website for example Netgear router www.netgear.com Linksys router www.linksys.com locate securing router on the website and it will show you step by step how to secure your router. You will need to reset your router to default settings, To warn you this will make your router unsecure simply press and hold the reset button located on the back of your router for 15 seconds or until the router resets. If you are unable to locate the password to connect to your router you will have to reset your router please be advised this will reset the configuration of the router back to default settings:
1.Locate the reset button on the back of the router
2.press and hold for 10-15 while router is on
3.Wait 1 minute to for the router to reboot and turn back on
4.Now the router is unsecure and you can connect to it

reset your router should be a reset button on the back, hold in till the lights on the front flash then its reset open explorer browser type in 10.1.1.1 log in as Administrator add new user set password while adding new user save your new settings(write them down too) test the internet for function
if no function then contact your ISP to assist with connection to internet
reset the router and then try the default username and password of the netgear routers. Then it will be an unsecured network . Then go ahead and change that to your preference .
Better to reset the router by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds and then run again the setup CD of the router to reconfigure it back so you will know all the settings on it....
