The computer is trying to access the flash drive, the light indicates the there is at the very least some activity. What you will need to do is try this flash drive in another computer or try all available USB ports on your computer. Use the USB ports at the rear of your computer as it is possible that the front ones are not making proper contact.
If the problem persists it is possible that the flash drive has malfunctioned. You will then need to claim warranty support. The data may be recovered from the drive. A format of the drive may solve the problem however once done the information stored on the drive will be lost.
