Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV27 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I have a Sony DCRTRV27 min-DVD camcorder and would like to transfere the video to a CD. What must I do or is this not possible? Do I need to use a DVD? How do I connect the camera to the computer. Any help would be helpful. THANKS.

The DCRTRV27 can connect to a PC by using either a USB or firewire cable. If you want the best video use the firewire 4 to 6 pin cable. You can output the video as raw, then convert the video to any number of mpeg formats by using either Microsoft's Movie Maker 2.0, it's free, or the software that came with your camera. The video can be burned to CD, but this is not a very good choice since even the most modest video can easly exceed a gig in size.
