Hi all, hope someone can assist me with this. On my old, granted! Compaq Presario 7000, when I boot her up I get the message 'Operating System not found', prior to this things appeared to be fine. Could this be because the MBR/VBR is corrupted and if so would reformatting the drive and reinstalling the OS put things right?
Is the hard drive being recognised. IF it is then if you format and reinstall the operating system that will fix the problem. Sometimes it's possible to repair the OP instead of doing a full format and reinstall but I rarely find that successful.
Good luck
