Re: FD-95 port??

Yes, the small white connector on the camera is the programming and diagnostic port for the camera. We connect a diagnostic connector to this for reading the state of the internal electronics. Upgrades, when needed are done through the port.

Press the info button (near the southeast corner of the LCD monitor on the back) twice. Use left/right on the multiselector to highlight "Set Picture Control" and press OK. Use up/down to make a choice other than Monochrome and press OK.

Sony Cybershot question

Hello: on the backside (screenside) of the camera, on lower right hand corner there is a hole for the reset button. Use a paper clip to push in to reset the camera back to ALL factory original settings. You will need to manually reset date, time, etc.

Shutter Opens Partially

This is a common problem for the A520 (it happens on mine sometimes). Recommend trying only the simple fixes listed on the following web page, but do not recommend opening the front cover which is also listed here. The A520 is a little tricky getting back together.

FD-95, F-stops & Strobes?

You might try adding an external view finder that is close to the FD-95 picture size. A lot of old cameras have them and it could also be used for sports as well, it could be added with Velcro or some other type of mounting. I am working on this problem myself. Good luck
