Hi

It sounds like either your aperture is stuck closed and no light is getting in, or your CCD is defective and it's not converting the light that enters the lens into a digital signal for the camera to record.

Unfortunately this model has design problems, we have probably had 100's of them over the years... I hate to say it, but it's probably time to replace it with something newer.

Good luck from Darntoothysam com

I don't remember about the DX4530 but the older Kodak SD cameras were designed before the enhanced capacity SD cards were invented.   They don't know how to deal with the capacity above 2GB.
I know my LS753 doesn't know how to deal with the larger cards, I'm pretty sure that the 4530 came around the same time.

Is this intermittedly or constant? Do you receive a lens error?
However due to spare part shortage this model is no longer repaired. Instead KODAK offers a trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.

Says to reset switch on memory card kodak easy share dx4530.how?

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Nothing or black screen shows up when pic is taken

The problem is with the software in the camera! So take your camera to the nearby service center and do a format of your camera! That will fix your problem. Also check whether there is any problem in ur LCD screen!

I have a dx4530 and when I take pictures, the screen is black. My guess is that there is a battery inside for the shutter and the battery needs to be replaced.

No unfortunantly this is the mechanics of the camera.
DX4530 is no longer repaired by KODAK due to lack of spear parts.

However thay do offer a Trade up option where you can trade your existing camera for a favorable price to a Brand new model.

Camera won't turn on, light just blinks

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the problem, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

Black viewing screen and blank pictures

Luckyfourme,
Check to see that the automatic lens protector is opening and/or off when you experience black screen, as it should open letting light in when you power up the Kodak easyshare camera.
Good luck and Congratulations on your Daughters upcoming Wedding!
