Have a top loader Admiral which has a shut off problem: cold water will not shut off even when unplugged...figure it's the cold water selonoid.

hi ,,inside the water vavle theres screens unplug unit stick a little screw drive in each vavle,,,hold up to light to see if clogged,,,if clogged wash out and replace...good luck

the water level switch (the knob that say low med. extra lg. ect) controls the water level, it probably isnt the trouble, but i suspect that the water valve (where the hoses attach)is sticking open to determine this,when it does flood unplug the machine if it continues to fill while unplugged the valve indeed is sticking

As it's new it will still be under guarantee/warantee? I strongly advise you contact their service desk as you could invalidate the guarantee by following other's guidance. I'm interested in why you have shut off the hot water? Once the temperature is selected by the user, the washer automatically uses a mix of hot and cold water, or just selects cold for rinses etc..
Has the 'LF' been coming on BEFORE or after you shut off the hot water?

check the screens on the water inlet valve and or replace the valve

replacve your watervalve hot side celionoid is stuck shut must replace valve

water inlet vale has internal malfunction

dear dulce,
i recoomend you to try the follwing tests on your washer

• Check that the washer is plugged in securely
• Check the circuit breaker or fuse box
• Test the outlet for current
• Check that the water supply valves are turned on
• Inspect the filter screens
• Test for overheating
• Test the water level switch
• Test the timer control
• Test the lid switch
• Test the water inlet valve
• Inspect the water pump
• Test the centrifugal switch
• Test the motor and Agitator.
• Inspect the pulley
• Test the transmission
• Inspect the pump coupling
