Question about Pioneer Televison & Video
this requires a replacement of the power supply board. This is per Pioneer tech support whom resolved my issue when I called. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Pioneer Elite Plasma TV
This a factory issue and usually requires service. Most cases it is a bad power supply caused by a surge or powering off and on too fast ... sorry I wish I had better news

This is for the 50" Vizio TV,
It sound like the control board has a problem. There is two way to fix this.
- Upgrade the firmware of the control board, If you can find the firmware upgrade device.
- Replace the control board (I think this the best solution)
