What codes do you need? Or do you need frequencies. You can frequencies for any part of the country at (www.radioreference.com). Try that website. They are great!

Since you didn't specify the model of your Uniden Bearcat, I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

I recieved my fathers Uniden Bearcat BC80XLT after he passed away and I cant seem to be able to figure out how to re-program it for my area. I have the local scanner codes and need a little assistance...

Yours is a fairly simple one to program, and the best instructions are in the factory manual that you can download and print, at no cost, here:
http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BC80XLTom.pdf

BTW, they're frequencies, not codes, and you can find a great database for your area at:

Uniden Bearcat bc560xlt scanner What radio bands (frequencies) will this radio monitor?

The BC560XLT is a basic 16-channel scanner that covers 29-54, 136-174, and 406-512 MHz. For information on the users of these bands, and complete information on using this scanner, you can download and print the operating manual here:

I have a uniden bearcat scanner model#bc148xlt and it seems to not want to take the local frequencys and it comes up error when you hit the enter or e button

You didn't mention what frequencies you're trying to program. BC148XLT coverage ends at 512 MHz, so you will get the error message if you try to program anything above that. Also, you must be sure to include the decimal point when programming a frequency into the scanner. I hope this helps.

Need the manual for your scanner? You can download/print it here:

How do you set the weather alert on the uniden BC3RS40

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The BC340CRS has a weather monitor feature that will let you listen to any NOAA weather channels that are active in your area, but it does not have a weather alert feature. To get this feature you'll need to move up to the BC370CRS.

Need to know how to put codes in

If your scanner is the BC350C (the section you posted in), here's a link to the owner's manual which will give you detailed programming information:

http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BC350Com.pdf

If you have a different model Bearcat scanner, try:

1. Push MANUAL to stop scanning and advance to the channel that you want to program.

2. Enter the desired frequency, including the decimal point (e.g., 156.015).

3. Press E or ENTER to set the frequency.

4. Repeat the process, starting with 1 above to select the channel.

NOTE: With some Bearcat scanners you may need to press the E or ENTER key before entering your frequency.

These are general steps that work on most recent Bearcat models. If they don't work on yours, try different variations. You can also check Uniden.com -- they may have an online manual that you can download and print.
