My toshiba spa10 displays a white screen on bootup what could be the problem?

also found in another toshiba model. but i think it will be a fault in circuit board, after test i will inform u.

loose cable/screen is broken

Does the Toshiba appear to bootup and the hard disk LED is flashing?
Can you see a dim image when you view the LCD screen at a sharp angle?
Connect an external monitor to the external video port and power up the external monitor first and then the Toshiba, if you get a nornal image on the external monitor the the video card is OK and the fault is the LCD screen. The problem could be the CCFL lamp or the inverter.
Get back to me with the result of these test and I can advise what to do next..

You will need to reinstall the drivers in order for your hardware to work. All the drivers were on the old hdd but they are not on the new. Reinstall & reboot and you should be all set. Hope this helps.

You have to install all the drivers properly. Check your device manager for errors. It could be that you have to update the bios of your system. Make sure you are installing the drivers in their correct order.

try running a microsoft update in custom mode and see if it finds any drivers for your hardware

Sounds like your display inverter has gone bad. You should be able to find an inverter for this model or if the computer is still under warranty I would find an authorized repair center for this brand of computer.

This might me cause of by two problems you need to check:
1 If you have genuine OS,and not expired.
2 your OS is corrupt, you need to repair (with OS disk) or reformat.

another secondary cause is due to malware or other virus infection which results in not displaying screen after bootup.

Try running in safe mode and run antivirus. or boot from OS disk to repair your windows.

if you have a warranty - have the manufacturer replace the lcd display unit.
