Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 Notebook
You are having the same charging issue that many other owners of this laptop are having. The power module where you plug in the AC adapter to the computer is defective. This is a known issue that Best Buy usually can't figure out. I sent mine back to Best Buy 4 times under warranty and they were unable to fix it.
If it's still under warranty tell them to replace that power plug circuit board or whatever it is and it will work fine. Mine has been working fine since Toshiba replaced that part 6 months ago. My jack wasn't loose. It had a loose wire or solder.

This sounds like you may have a loose/broken jack on the machine. Take a small screwdriver and check to see if the jack is loose. If so, there's your problem, if not, then the problem will be in the power management system on the motherboard, and you will need to take it in for a professional diagnostics in order to track down the exact problem component.
