Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV6000 Top Load Washer

Water leaking over rim

I've noticed that I hear a squeek, then run in to find that water has come up over the white rim and into the wall and flooded the floor. This does not happen when the water is filling the tub, but during the agitate / spin cycle. I can't pin the exact cycle down, as I feel that the machine MAY be trying to spin before releasing the water, which MAY be causing centrifugal force to raise the water too high. This doesn't happen all the time so it's hard to diagnose. My repair man original thought it was due to over-filling, and replaced a few parts. He then tried to replace the brake (I think). Nothing is helping. I have to listen for a light squeek and run to raise the lid so it won't overflood.

We can hear water running but it's not filling the wash tub. There is no water leaking anywhere.

I have a frigidaire LEQ2152ES0 Front Loading Dryer. The machine has started to squeek rather loudly. I've noticed a

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

For replacement of bearings check for tips on this visual link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1401/how-to-replace-the-bearings-on-a-washing-mach.html

Thank You for using fixya

It seems to be flooding at the fill part of the cycle.. water level seems right but there is water coming out near the base at the back... The issue was first noticed after a finished cycle still was full...

It usually is, but you'll need to first determine where it's leaking from. You'll need to run it with the back off to find the leak. An exploded view should be available at www.appliancepartspros.com

Floods floor on startup. Pump not leaking. What

The tub was off center and the fill water was splashing over the rim. This happened because I had removed the pump to oil the seal. The washer sets all summer in 110 degree weather and very callcifeid water. Last fall on start up the seal was siezed to the shaft because of calcium build up. I was able to recenter the tub by pulling it the opposite way. Hopes this helps someone along the way.

My boiler is coming away from the wall

Take something, like a broom handle, something, that you can prop up against it to stop it from falling away more.

Find a water shutoff that is not near the unit so if it where to fall
away fully, and the pipe broke, it will not flood the place.

As long as the gas and water to the unit is turned off, it should be ok.

You could also tie it up with rope,if this is feasible.

This should not have happened.

Leak from bottom of LG WM2277HW washer

Diconnect the washer from the power supply.
Look at the back and you will see a few screws holding the top of the machine on.
Undo these screws and lift the top off by sliding it backwards a couple of inches.
You will then see where the leak is coming from(look for white residue).
Please let me know what you find
good luck

I would imagine that this would be a top load washer is that correct? Yep sure is. I would imagine that the brake package on the bottom of the unit is probably faulty. It could be the stator, the brake pad, or possibly the snubber. The only problem is without a special tool, you wont be able to remove the stator (please do not try to remove without this tool, you can be seriously injured or killed for sure). Unplug the unit, then tilt it back against the wall. Place something under-neith to be sure it doesnt fall on you, then remove the belt off the pump/motor/main pulley. Twist the thrust pulley (center pulley at the trans) back and forth and see if you can hear the squeeking from down below. If you can hear it right there, it could be the brake/pulley/or snubber assm. Let me know what you find out, and if the squeeking is not coming from there, fill me in on if you can see or hear where its coming from. Thanks!!!! Jim

Kenmore washer leak

With the machine unplugged and EMPTY disconnect the water and waster water connection from the wall and tip it forward you should then be able to access the pump.  Check the hoses running to the pump. (usually white plastic with 2 large and 1 small hose running to it.. you can also just move it away from the wall with it completely connected and run it thru a cycle to see where it is leaking from.

Washing machine (WIE157S)

Close your faucet valve on wall & unscrew your hoses to check screens on hoses & machine. Clean out well. See that the water pressure is good. Refit, check for leaks. If this is not the problem change your inlet valve, it is easily done.

Pl rate if helped..................

For guest dated May29:
If you still don't have water going into machine you have to plug off the wall mains, open the top of your machine to see if the three tubes are connected to the dispenser tray. Connect securely & check for leaks before you close the top. You did not say there was any leak, so this may not be the problem; it could only mean that the inlets were clogged. Another way would be to clean out your dispenser tray.
