Is this a new Windows installation? Vist Acer site and install the chipset drivers. Windows 7 does not install these automatically. However Windows 7 can continue upgrading drivers a few days later. http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers
If you have not installed the WEBcam driver then you need to download and install it.
Download the device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Makesure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require thatmatches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link toget to the Acer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
Reinstall the webcam driver. You can download it from here - http://www.laptop-software.com/acer-software/acer-aspire-5332-windows-vista-7-drivers/
If still the same issue exists, check "Device Manager" (to open Device Manager right click on the "My Computer" or "Computer" icon then click properties, then click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager) the webcam should be under "Imaging Devices". If it is not listed or detected, that means there might be a problem with the driver not properly installed or there is a problem on the webcam itself.
