Hello

Do you have any of the extra functions selected, such as "Hi Temp Rinse" etc?
The selector switch has a selection for Hi-Temp Wash; the switch is in parallel with a thermostat mounted on the bottom of the tub and with a contact in the timer. The
selector switch, temp assure thermostat, and the temp boost thermostat are all in series with the timer motor. Both thermostats are normally open thermostats. When
the timer reaches the end of the second wash cycle, the contact in the timer supplying power to run the timer motor will open. At which time, if the selector switch for the Hi-Temp Wash has been selected, power to run the timer motor must come through the thermostats. The temperature of the water in the tub must rise to 137° ±5° F for the thermostat to close and the timer motor to advance. If the water temperature is below 137° ± 5° F, the timer will pause until the heating element raises the temperature of the water in the tub and allow the thermostat to close.

Hi-Temp Rinse
If the selector switch was a selection for a Hi-Temp rinse, the switch is in parallel with a thermostat mounted in the tub, and the contact in the timer, the same as the Hi-Temp wash. The operation for the Hi-Temp rinse will be the same as for the Hi-Temp wash with the exception, on some models, the temperature of the water in the tub will be 150° ± 5° F for the thermostat to close to give a sanitizing rinse.

What do we learn from this? That you either have a bad heater or a bad thermostat. Check the heater for continuity with our OHM meter.

Maytag Dishwasher has all lights lit on the panel after reset.

I would try turning off all power to it for few minutes and see if it reset it’s self, before I go to any great expense.
Also I had a washer that quit working on one cycle but would work on the others, could try that as well. Hope this helps!

How do I reset the code.the lights are lit 4 hour delay, rinse only steam clean.

THIS DISHWASHER WAS RECALLED BY MAYTAG.. You might want to call them to see if it is still covered.
If already repaired you might try:
Normal - heated dry - normal - heated dry. then try to use the machine.

Dishwasher will not start.. heat dry with lock icon is lit up and cant cancel

Hold the heat dry/ lock button down for atleast 10 seconds. That should turn the option off. If that does not work then turn the breaker off for atleast 10 minutes then turn the breaker back on,. this will reset the dishwasher placing everything back to the original settings.

Kenmore dishwasher ultra was quiet guard 3 model 56516012403 control panel will not activate red lights blinking on normal wash and cancel drain. did the hold the heat dry button then the normal wash...

that would be model # 66516012403 correct??
you may have inadvertently set the lock on function..
check this out from your manual...

Lock On
Use the Lock On to prevent unintended use of the dishwasher
between cycles. You can also use the lock feature to prevent
unintended cycle or option changes during a cycle.
When LOCK ON is lit, all buttons are disabled.
NOTE: The dishwasher door can be opened while the controls
are locked. However, the lock must be turned off and the Start/
Resume button pressed to resume the cycle.
To turn on the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. LOCK ON glows.
If you press any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light
flashes 3 times.
NOTE: If the Heated Dry option is selected, the light will
temporarily turn off until Lock On glows.
To turn off the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off.

hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Cycle buttons work, option buttons dont, Cant deselect heated dry, Wont start

The part is covered by warranty. However, the labor is not and Whirlpool will not replace the part without having someone service the unit. Every place I checked wanted $100 just to come out and tell me what was wrong. Any service would be extra. Seems like Whirlpool figured out how not to stand behind its products. They should be held accountable.
