Approx. 1.0 sec. (From when the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down to when the camera is ready to take another picture. Excluding focusing time.)

See what error codes are stored:

Remove the protective plug from the data link connector.
Connect your jumper wire to the first and second terminal on the data link connector.
Turn the ignition switch on and wait for 10 seconds. The light will turn on for 4 seconds, then off for 6 seconds. After this 6 second interval, any stored trouble codes will appear as sequential flashes.
Count the number of times the lamp flashes; this is the first code. The code will repeat three times before playing the next code, if any, after a 3 second pause.
Record the codes and repost them..
Turn off the ignition switch and remove the jumper wire.

What is the time interval between frames i Sequential shooting" mode for Olympus D-720 camera?

That might not be a fixed interval, Lev - it may be somewhat variable depending upon the complexity of the scene. You can test it by driving at a known speed in your car and taking a sequence of photos out the side window.

How do you set up sequential shooting on an Olympus E500

Single-frame shooting o Shoots 1 frame at a time when the shutter button is
    pressed. (normal shooting mode)
Sequential shooting j Shoots 4 frames or more at 2.5 frames/sec. (in SHQ,
HQ or SQ) for as long as the shutter button pressed.
Focus and exposure are locked at the first frame.
    1 Press the </Y/j (Remote control/
    Self-timer/Drive) button.
2 Use the control dial to set.
    o Single-frame shooting
    j Sequential shooting
3 Press the shutter button all the way to
    take the picture.
Press the shutter button fully and keep it
pressed. The camera will take pictures in
sequence until you release the button.
    Notes
Sequential shooting is not possible when [NOISE REDUCTION] (g P. 95) is set
    to [ON].
During sequential shooting, if the battery check blinks due to low battery, the
camera stops shooting and starts saving the pictures you have taken on the card.
The camera may not save all of the pictures depending on how much battery power
    remains.

The above comes from page 62 of your user manual.

    Sequential shooting modes

There are four sequential modes: Sequential shooting, High-speed Sequential shooting, AF Sequential shooting and Auto Bracketing. Sequential shooting modes can be selected from the CAMERA menu: Sequential shooting: A maximum of 11 frames can be shot sequentially at approximately 1.7 fps in HQ mode. Focus, Brightness (exposure) and White Balance are locked at the first frame. High-speed Sequential shooting: A maximum of 4 frames can be shot sequentially at approximately 3.3 fps. Focus, Brightness (exposure) and White Balance are locked at the first frame. AF Sequential shooting: Focus is individually locked for each frame. The AF Sequential shooting speed is slower than for normal sequential shooting. Auto Bracketing: When Auto bracketing is set, exposure is changed automatically for each frame when you start shooting. The exposure differential can be selected in the menus. Focus and white balance are locked at the first frame.
