I have a Lanier Model VW-110 transcription machine. The plug to the earphones is only giving me sound in one side of the earphones. Is there something I can do to make a better connection? When I wiggle...

You are using stereo headset, but it is a mono output. So you need either mono headset or an adapter that will allow the mono sound to go to stereo output for a stereo headset.

I have been using an Olympus Transcription machine but today it wont work. It will work in FF and Rewind but not in listening mode. I cannot get any sound.

The problem I had was not with a fax machine but with an Olympus Transcription machine. I never got any assistance from the technical team as I got the message to wait for payment to go through and never got any further!

I have since found that the problem was in my PC.
