Canon mp600 U052 error code

Hello,

U052 means there is a printhead problem, either the printhead is incorrect, is not seated properly, or has become damaged.

Please take these steps to reseat the printhead, Reseating the MP600 print head.

Unplug the printer sharply from the power outlet while it is still on. While the printer is off, press and hold the power button for 1 minute

Finally, while holding down the stop/cancel button (or just the power button if you don't have those), plug the printer back in, and power on the printer if it doesn't do so automatically.

Then try to do a printhead alignment, click here

However, if you'd done all of the above except for purchasing a new printhead part, something it is usually cheaper to get a new printer, as the work needed to replace parts, and the part itself costs more or almost as much as a new printer. Printers are usually "throw-away" devices, the companies make them too cheap and they normally don't earn on the printer itself, but rather by selling print cartridges and special paper.

If you prefer to purchase a new printhead, you can get one here: Canon QY6 0061 Printhead for Pixma Photo Printer

Hope this helps

My canon MP480 keeps poping up a 5100 error

That error is a Carriage error, which means that the printer carriage (the bit that holds the cartridges) is unable to move or similar.

Make sure you've installed the cartridges correctly and that the grey lever that holds down the printhead is in the down and locked position.

You may find that you've installed the printhead incorrectly so worth pulling out the cartridges, removing the printhead and then reseating it so the lever goes down to a horizontal position. Then reinsert the cartridges.

My Kodak 5300 printer prints very faded. I have changed the cartridges twice but makes no differenc.Have any ideas?

Most of the times, in such an issue, the problem is the printhead of the printer.
Please follow the below mentioned steps:
  • Reseat the ink and the printhead. If you need help inreseating the printhead, go to the link http://faqs.kodak.com/atg/faq/attachments/AUR1780-2.pdf
  • After reseating, it will ask you for a calibnration sheet and will give you the instructions for the same on the printer's lcd.
  • After you are through with the calibration, go to the Clean Printhead option in the Menu of the printer and do a deep clean.
  • Try printing a demo sheet from the printer and check.
  • If the issue persists, you can call Kodak to get a free printhead replacement.

Flashing light "E" at installation.

That means that no Printhead is installed,

Remove your inks and printhead
restart the printer
reinstall the Printhead and ink cartridges

If you still see letter "E"
call Kodak Assistance for a free Printhead

Error: The type of Printhead is incorrect, Install the correct printhead.

Ok i know this is kinda old, but i found a solution.

First to those people to state I found a solution from hp, cannon etc etc and not give out the direct link, or instructions, then whats the point fing posting????

This error happens when you install an oem cartridge onto your system. Or havent used it in a while, so the machine is somehow misfigured.

This solution is for canon mp800, simply switch off printer. HOLD stop/reset and press and HOLD on/off button. release stop/reset. Now press stop.reset twice. then release on/off button, press stop/reset 4 times, wait 20 seconds, press on/off button twice.

switch machine back on and the printer should find the cartridges.

This method maybe the same for your mp*** if not google RESET CANON PRINTER MP*** and you'll find the correct buttons to press.

here's a printer on reseting a bunch of canon printers http://tricks-collections.com/reset-printer-canon-mp140-mp160-mp180-mp210-mp220-mp460-mp470-mp500-mp510-mp530-mp600-mp610-mp800-mp820-mp810-mp830-mp960-mp970/

good luck.. and FU canon for adding you scamming chips into cartridges.
