Have you tried removing the wire? Was it connected to anything in the TV, is the entire unit affected or is it just that speaker?

No sound

Make sure the speakers have not been turned off in the menu. If not--the amp chip in the Tv could have been killed. Along with a fuse or resistor in line with it. Not usually a hard problem to fix.

Remove Speaker Grille from Sony KP-65WV700

So you got the six screws undone, great! Now you can pop off the front speaker grill. The easiest way is to work your hand along the top and bottom to pop the plastic out of the "holders"

If what you are describing to me is the main wires still attached to the rest of the TV. So don't pull it out too far! If you do it right you won't have to unplug the wires, and save yourself some hassle... with this TV you'll have to pull it out JUST ENOUGH to get access to the carboard/masonite backing, removing such will give you full access to the six controls.

Adjust from there! Sorry for the wait, and I hope this helped out!

How to replace front protective screen..

in order to replace this piece, you will need to take the entire case off of the TV, undo all of the wiring inside, and behind the tube.  Once you have the old piece out, yuo need to put the new one in, be very careful, as a sligt jar could ruin it.  Also be careful to get the wiring right as a wrong cable could ruin not only the new screen you just put in but, ruin the rest of the television.

Screen Turns Blue and shuts off

Go to this site, follow the instructions, and it may fix your problems. I did, and my tv is better than ever!

I was having this problem with blue. I was able to fix it, and now my tv works again. For those having trouble removing a different front panel, here is what I found on mine -

I own a KP57WV600. Removing the front panel is a little trickier on this model. You remove the 6-8 screws on each side behind the two speakers. You will access these from the lower rear/sides of the TV. Remove the small 2ft plastic pieces. Now from the front of the machine grab the entire lower piece (speaker covers & power/volume/chanel buttons) from the bottom and pull down and towards yourself. There are 4 slots that this piece fits into. I had to take off the lower back panel to see why it wouldn't come out. Don't pull to far because this lower front piece is connected to wires. I'd say you have about a foot of play. Now you can remove the fiber board panel and access the blue/green/red lower screws. When you adjust these, go a fraction of a milimeter at a time.

No control from the remote control

On these models we have found that a switch is sticking on the control panel not allowing the set to turn on. Disconnect the control panel. You will be able to use the remote on it. To find the plugs for the control panel: Remove the speaker grill and front panel, then follow the wire to the connection. Remember to unplug the set before putting your hands inside of it.

VS 50605 screen replaced

first of all wally heres what to look for. remove speaker grill not sure of your model. speaker grill should pop off. then you will see screws holding the large plastic screen assembly. noww if you look there might be a group of wires going up to screen, they will be atatched to small plugs unplug them, remove small screws on bottom of screen assembly, entire plastic screen assembly will first slide up then pull away put assembly flat on floor (don't scratch screen put on carpit or sort surface ) screen side down. all around plastic screen you will see brackets with screws holding them on remove top, bottom, side bracket carefully put screen back in making sure the front side of screen is down replace brackets if plastic is not damaged should screen in place.reverse order of removal. remember alittle up then screen will slide down in groves doc
