I want to surf n my mobile, but everytime i go in my web browser, d message says, gprs not activated...so im asking wat im gonna do to actvate it manually?

It's very simple.
First, call your phone's service provider.

Ask them if your phone can support gprs (if you don't know that already)

If it's supported, ask them to activate gprs for your phone.

The activation will be done within 2 or 3 hours,.

Finally, you will receive a service message containing the gprs settings required to browse the internet on phone.

Thats it.
You're ready to surf.

But do confirm data transfer charges. They can be costly.

To start surfing, just open the phone browser, and enter the website you want to go.

1.gprs setting
2.activate gprs
first of you have to contact your service provider and ask them to activate gprs on your sim card.gprs activation may take some time.

Configuration settings for GPRS access:

After your activation is done you need to configure your mobile to get GPRS data.You have to send a message to 58355 which contains your mobile model.For example-If you have a Nokia 5800 ,SMS "Nokia N5800? to 58355.
Soon you will get WAP,Portal,GPRS and MMS settings from BSNL.Save them all to your mobile.Use either WAP or GPRS as your default access point if your mobile asks for it.

packet data is the settings for your mobile to access internet.....
wat u have to do is,please ring your customer care and ask then for g.p.r.s settings,they will send you via text message, and you just save it and then switch off your mobile and switch it on.....now you can access web ...

enter menu, then web browser, then browser settings and select gprs...

The letter G indicates that the GPRS service is active on your mobile. You can use the built-in wap browser to surf internet and download tones etc after proper configuration. Ask your service provider for correct settings.

If you do not want this 'G' symbol to show, ask your service provider to terminate the GPRS service.

try download settings from Nokia website.

contact your network service provider and they will guide you activate gprs manually.
