Wireless Lan on Lenovo Y410 not working

Hi,

My wireless Lan stopped working 1 week after I bought it. The Wireless Lan Hotkey is also not working. The bluetooth Hotkey is working though. I tried re-installing the wireless Lan but I still can't see it in the device manager.

I also tried reverting the OS (Vista) to the original factory setting. But this didn't work.

I also tried looking at the BIOS setup. But I can't see anything about wireless Lan in the menu.

SOURCE: XP does not recognize the Intel wireless network adapter

Dell has a known problem with driver conflic the best remedy is to right click on my computer click on property open hardware uninstall the driver there and restart the conputer but first make sure you download the driver from intel and burn them on a cd then when you reinstall you won't have to try to figure out if everything is downloading also in security make sure that you allow this site so that all the drivers download.
but most of the time if these driver are on a card that is micrsoft certified it will be in the driver file and will reload automaticly when you restart the computer after uninstalling and it should elimenate the driver conflic.

The drivers are wrong Uninstall from device manager and you must install the right ones... Install as Administrator. Go to link below, download those drivers they should work. BUT you MUST first find out what exact card type you have.. there are two... you could install one, if it doesn't work Uninstall, via device manager, and install the other.

you have to install Lenovo Energy Management, to download click here then restart the computer after the installation. Once logged back in to Windows press Fn+F5 on the keyboard to enable toggle for wireless connections. If still does not work, follow these steps:

• click start, go to run and type services.msc then hit enter
• look for wireless autoconfig on the services list and double click it
• set type to automatic and start the application under the General tab
• click apply then OK
• restart the system
• once back into Windows try to connect to your wireless network

Hope this works! :)

Built in wireless lan........

Operating System? Sometimes with XP, you have to disable the Zero Wireless Configuration Utility when using a proprietary on-board utility. This is done in the services.msc panel.

Start > Run > services.msc (ok)
