My Toastmaster Bread Box Plus Bread Maker Model TBR2 will not start. The cycles select just fine, but when I press the start button, nothing happens--no beep, no countdown, no movement. Is there anything that I can do?

SOURCE: Toastmaster TBR2 manual

I followed the trail from this site and was able to order a manual for the TBR2 breadmaker at 1 800 738-0245. The person who answered the phones directed me to an online manual site for some of the Toastmaster breadmaker models, but mine wasn't among them. It was only $7.50 for the manual and shipping, not too bad considering I paid nothing for the bread machine.

My Toastmaster TBR2 breadmaker does not mix and knead when started. The pan is positioned correctly, it is in P1 and the countdown timer is on 3:00. It makes a tick-tick noise but nothing happens. Why?
In cold weather many bread machines have to warm up for 15-20 minutes before they start. The clicking you hear is the heating element warming up.

My Toastmaster TBR2 bread machine does not knead when started. It makes a tick-tock noise and the timer counts down but no mixing. The bread pan is positioned correctly. Why?
Make sure you are programming your machine correctly.

The Instruction Manual indicates three possible problems, none of which would seem to be your problem. Not plugged in, error message or kneading blade missing.

Suggest you review the Instruction Manual for programming your bread maker. Unplug your machine to reset and then plug in and program as directed.

Bread pan bearing on my Toastmaster TBR2 is binding. How do I clean/lubricate it?
Hi,
That is a sealed bearing and can't be lubricated. Eventually that sealed bearing gets worn out and then breaks. The bread pan will then need to be replaced...Sorry Hank
