Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

1 Answer

Hi, I got a PSP 3000 and the circle button is pressing by itself, it seems something under it are stuck to the MotherBoard but im not sure what the real problem is. Now I can't play games because every time I try to exit the game, the home option screen is stuck to "No" and it's not blinking. What do I need to do to fix the circle button? Thanks in advance.

Hello.

You need to open up your PSP (But it will void the warranty!) remove the circle button and then make sure there is no dirt under it, then replace it back. It is not that hard to open a PSP, you can find many videos on how to do it.

Im tired

It's most probably the analogue controller. If it's a PSP1000, 2000 or 3000 go to the web browser screen. Here you'll see a mouse pointer that can be controlled with the analogue controller. If it moves by itself then the analogue controller is faulty. Of not then it's the directional buttons.

X triangle square circle button not responding everything else works my brother said he dropped but im sure he did more than that (so i am not really sure what happen ) help please --i cleaned the buttons...

Hi,
That means the button pad connector might be disconnected to the main board inside that PSP.

Better bring it to your technician to check on it. To access that area your PSP will be open up, the connector is behind the LCD screen.

Hope FixYa helps you out!

Psp 3000 D pad problem...

I think this is something you can fix, the problem is simply a stuck button. If you can open it up and find the area on the board that's under the D-pad, you should be able to unstick the button by wiggling it a little.

Can't dive!

Im sure the place you need to dive is in The cave of Olympus here is how you get the Triton's Lance that lets you dive.

So when you get in to the room, your at the save point.
Save if you need to and jump in the water. Ahh, isn't that refreshing a nice
bath. Swim all the way to the right and open the 2 red chests and the grey one
that has a gorgon eye (GE10). Swim back to the middle and climb the wall. Grab
the Triton's Lance and now you'll be able to dive.

hope this helps

Psp button problem

try taking off the faceplate and replacing the buttons. to do this, remove all the black screws out of the back, and the silver on the bottom. take the battery out, under there is two more black screws, one is hidden under the warranty sticker tho so if its still under warranty, i recomend you take it in. if not, rip the sticker off and take out the screws. the face plate will just pop off, leaving you free to re-adjust the buttons or replace them.
