ONE: First thing to do is a hard reset. Merely unplug the power cord for 4 hours, then power up again.

TWO: If the reset does not help, try disconnecting anything on input 2. For example, if you have a dvd player connected to that input, the tv may be sensing its presence and switch over to it. (Especially, if the device is left ON.)

THREE: It is possible the controller IC is defective and is wandering around (electronically speaking). In this case, the set would need to be seen by a tech who can get inside and test the circuitry that controls the function switching. Lugging a big set like this into a shop is not easy, but is will save you lots of money compared to having them come to your home.
Let me know if you need more....

Hope this may help;

Regards,

Hi,

Pls check if any of the buttons on the front panel control, more specifically the Source/Video/Tuner button is stuck in the pressed position. Alternately, check the same with the remote. You could also try removing the remote's battery to observe if problem persist.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

I presed RETUR buuton and now my tv doesn't show anything, only inscription - no signal. what should I do, to get back channels?

The input changed, ensure to look at the input, video, or channel three selection to determine which one was accidently changed. Once you fix this problem, you will be able to see channels again. It happens to me almost every day with the same unit!!! Sometimes turning power off then back on will fix the problem.

Amps on woofers are fine just won't hit

your probably making your amp run to low ohms if its a 2 channel amp bridged to one channel you can probably only run it at four ohms

Also seeing as your subs are 2ohm dvc you can't wire them individually to 2ohm and use each channel separately. So i'd recommend buying a 2ohm stable monoblock or running it at four ohms. a 1400 watt amp'll still pound at 4ohms and it'll extend your amp's life span

I cannot find the specs or user manual on the JVC archived items list. A few sites want to charge $10.00 for the user guide info, but I think that is too much to charge.

Defiantely not 200 watts

Channel switches on it's own

This is probably a sticking button, similar IR signal from another remote control, or simply a short on the system board that holds the controls.  A simple cleaning might take care of this.

MTX 502 2 chanel amp Pre amp problem?

Unless your amp is 1 (one) ohm stable then you may have fried it. When you attach a 2 ohm load across a bridged amp then you have effectivly placed each output channel on a 1 ohm load. Not a good thing in most cases. Try hooking up ONE speaker on one channel and one input to that one channel one at a time. Then switch the speaker/input to the other channel and see if you can get either or both channels to work independently. Needless to say you must turn the amp off before you make ANY change in the wiring.

Sharp tv changing channels

Well, the only thing that seems to be working so far is to plug AV cables into the "input 2" ports (on the front of TV). I plugged in my PS2, without turning it on. It has not switched at random since (about 30 minutes - it had been switching off and on for the past 2 hours). Anyone else have similar success?
