Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

SOURCE: cant download photos from kodak c613 camera to ps3

Hello. I have the same problem with my Kodak EasyShare C653 on my 40GB PS3. I am sorry to announce it is not compatible with the PS3.
If you have a different version of the PS3 (unlike my 40GB), you may be able to use your SD card on your PS3.
If this doesn't work, download the pictures onto a computer. Transfer the pictures or video to a flash drive (USB key), and upload to your PS3.

Having gone over a month without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

Unable to access photos on computer using usb cable.I plug in usb, select computer the screen freezes with Access showing. Can you help?

Hi
You don't mention models or OSs details so I will have to be general. Some possibilities:
Firstly. Make sure that you wait a reasonable time after plugging the camera into USB, before you try and do anything on the computer. It could be that you are interrupting the connection procedures.
Secondly. Can you remove the memory card from the camera and put it into a card reader connected to the computer. This is normally the simplest and quickest method.
Thirdly. Is all the software that came with the camera still installed properly ? Re-installing this software may solve your problem.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

assuming your camera is in perfect condition. remember that cameras come up with its own driver. your camera attatched to your friend's computer analyses only as plug and play feature. Always use card reader even to your computer by removing your memory card and this make your camera even safer from virus. Remember that downloading pictures from camera requires high reserve power or else it may cause to stop downloading or may even cause to malfunction.

Please make sure the camera is charged. Also try a different usb port in the computer. Usually in this instance the camera has to be fully charged or plugged into another power source. Depending if the camera can draw power from the usb or not.
