Try cleaning the connector pins on your Aladdin cartridge. Apply rubbing alcohol to Q-tips and scrub those connector pins vigorously. You should notice lots of dirt and grime coming off the cartridge onto the Q-tips. This will take many, many q-tips.

My sega genesis games when i start it, it says made by sega then it goes black

You have to blow the cartrige (it may be dirty)
the last thing to do is to clean the connections of the cartridge by
scratching softly (so to clean and not break) the cartridge dirty
connections.

That's the problem!

Do this with someone! if you do too hard you may ruin it!

I have an original Sega Genesis console. It runs my old games just fine except for an occasional freezeup, but there's one game that I can't get to work. When I put it in, the little "produced...

Hello,
Based on the fact that your Sega Genesis works with your other games, this indicates that the problem is with the game in question. The cartridge could be damaged, but your best option is to clean the connectors. Alcohol is safe fro electronics and great for cleaning.

Needed:
Q-tips
99% isopropyl alcohol

1. Dip the Q-tip in to the alcohol.
2. Rub the end of the Q-tip against the metal contactors, ensuring to clean well.
3. Flip the cartridge over and do it again.
4. Test game. If needed, clean again.

If this does not work, the cartridge is most likely damaged.

Please let me know if I can further assist you.

When I turn on my Sega Genesis, a black screen appears on the TV and nothing else happens. It shows nothing but a black screen. When you turn on the console you can hear it try to start with no success.

Well try cleaning the game packs out with quips and rubbing alchal the game packs could just be dirty then I had a problem with my sega it would just show a black screen when I turned it on so I cleaned out the game packs and it was fine after that the worst case is that your sega is on its way out let's hope not but lukie games sells sega products too.

Menu of games will NOT show! (dreamcast screen + music WILL show)

Whew, nice to have someone who tells an entire problem.

it's possible that dust IS an issue, but i doubt it. You console is probably falling under the same problem that all the old consoles have been facing lately... they are OLD. Your most likely right in the fact that your laser is probably getting weak and is having a hard time reading the disc. Try to play another game or something and see what happens. If the same sort of problem, chances are it's the laser. If there's NO problem with another game, then chances are it's the disc. Hope this helps you.
