HD does not mount on desktop and just clicks when plugged in. Any fix?

first, verify the black power supply brick. If it is noisy or if the light on it is flickering, then it is defective and replacing it might solve all your problems.
If the power supply does not have the above symptoms, you are probably facing an internal drive failure. If you need the data on the drive, you will need to contact a Data Recovery Company to proceed.
If you do not need the data, you can open the drive casing and you will find two drives. Find out which one is clicking by powering on the drive and listening closely to each drive. On last resort, unplug them one at a time and once the clicking stopped, you know that you found a defective drive.
Your model probably has the old pata (IDE) drive, so it will be hard to find a replacement. Make sure that the replacement has the same specifications ,even if its not the same brand or model.
Once the defective drive is replaced, just go to Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (MAC) and format the drive. It will then be available again.

My external Lacie hard drive was in the upright position on desk and while i was moving it, it tip over (into flat position) on desk. There is now a clicking and beeping sound in the drive and the it's no...

traditional hard drives are sensitive devices and it is normal for them to fail even after such a shock. It is even recommended to not move a hard drive while it is spinning.

If you do not need the data on this drive, replacing the internal hard drive and then formatting with your operating system is all that you have to do.

If you need the data, you will need to bring the drive to a data recovery center, There is nothing you can try at home without taking the risk of negating any possible chance of recovering the data.

No matter the brand and type of storage device, it is recommended to always have a copy of important data on a different media.

When drive is switched on blue light on front flashes rapidly but the drive icon does not appear on the dektop.

Hello, the light blinking rapidly means that the drive is trying to establish communication with the computer but cannot.
First, check if the power brick is silent when plugged into the wall power outlet. If it is noisy, like hissing or high pitch noise, usually replacing it will solve the issue.
If the power supply seems healthy, it might be the port you are currently using, either on computer or drive side. Try using a different port on the computer, if no change, try using a different port on the drive. Using USB if connected firewire or using Firewire if connected USB.
If your drive is out of warranty, you can take out the internal hard drive and connect it directly to an internal port or put it in another enclosure to access your data, the internal hard drive should have no issue.

The power supply light comes on,but when i plug it the light goes do i fix this problem .ty

when the green light on the power supply goes off or starts flashing when you plug it into the LaCie drive, there is a failure at the level of the internal electronic components. Either only on the interface, or on both the interface and one/both of the hard drive.
Usually, replacing the interface would solve this, but before doing so make sure that the internal hard drives electronic boards do not have any failure else they will cook your new interface. It is advised to consult someone skilled in electronics to inspect the internal components.

I can not locate a driver for my Fantom Titanium II (TFD500C16) 500 GB USB Hard Drive. Do you know where?

Your device should not need drivers Fte Fantom/Titanium drives are fully supported by both Windows and Mac OS's.
Try replacing the cable or using a different USB port.
Sorry I cannot be of more help, The drive itself may be damaged, You can test this by physically removing the drive itself from the case and installing it internally to your system....If the drive functions properly, then the problem is within the board inside the casing.

Need to find a Hitachi Serial ATA 400 in stock

Odds of finding that drive new are slim to none but you can use ANY hard drive of at least same capacity to replace it. In fact as a data recovery specialist I always recommend my customers use several different brand/model drives in their arrays and simply elect to use the smallest one as the size for RAID on the others as this greatly minimizes the chance you will ever have multiple mechanical failures in a short timeframe.

Feel free to replace it with anything 400 or bigger and your raid should be able to assign an appropriate sized partition to the drive while it rebuilds itself.

Hope this helps FixYa,
