When i send a text message too another phone and it's an ATT phone they do not receive the text message, but it says in my sent mail that it was sent to the recipient. I have restarted my phone several times and i sent the message twice and still nothing. Is there a problem with my phone or the other persons phone?

I had the same problem with my new Blackjack 2, I could receive txts, but my friends would not receive the ones I sent. To fix it, I put a + in front of the number. and added the 1 before the area code. so their numbers looked like this +1(areacode)number. now they get them. Others had to do a hard reset of their Blackjacks, but it worked.

hi there, call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options cheers
ATT tech support & several web forums confirm that sending a SMS from your computer via an IM, (like Yahoo Messenger, etc.) to a PDA cellular is web based and requires a data plan. However, you can send a text message via email to cellular phones and receive replies. It is easy and just as fast. You have to know the recipients carrier to obtain the proper email address. For instance, to an ATT phone the address is: email@example.com Remember that most carriers have a character limit (ATT is 160).

i have had this problem previously. sometimes it would work if i sent a message to myself. other times, i would have to just wait a few minutes, and then try again. also, i have made a call, and only then would my messages be sent. personally, i think this phone is horrible.
