Well if it has been sitting, check your main things ie: you have a good or new battery, all your fuses are intact, make sure you drain all the old gas out of the bike and try to clean the carbs with some carb cleaner. It sounds like if it is not a bad battery then your gas has turned bad on you in which case it wont start until you clean it all out and put fresh gas in it.Also make sure you clean the spark plugs and check for spark.Good luck.

Last time i drove the bike I had to leave the choke half open or it would die out ,now won't start ,sitting for two years?? how can I find a mechanic who will take on this problem as a side job?

all you can ask. whats going on in your bike is that you let it sit. the gas goes bad "gum up" the carbs. what it needs is cleaned and good oil charge with spark plugs and a carb sync and if anything else with the bike is wrong you find it after it is running good.

Bike has been sitting for a year wont start

Take it to the shop and have them flush the gas tank and rebuild the carburetor. You will be all set then.

Did it stop for any reason or it just wont start after it has sat for a time.?

I went in some deep water on my cr 125 and it stalled so i tiped my bike upside down to drain the water out of the tail pipe still could not start so when i got i took the gear box oil out and let it sit...

Drain your carb, the bottom of the bowl has an hex plug that needs to come off, as water sits in it. Also, pull the fuel line and drain some fuel into a glass to see if you have water in your gas tank also. You will see it because water seperates from fuel.
