I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO PLUG MY DVD CABLE IN TO MY KV SONY TRINITRON- THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANY PLUGHOLES

Hello
You can connect the DVD player ot your Sony TV in two ways. One way is via AV cable, and the other is S-Video cable. If you use AV cabel, connect the cable's one side ends to output sockets of the DVD player, marked as Audio-L, Audio-R and Video. Connect the other side of the cable's respective ends ot TV's respective sockets, marked as Audio_L, Audio-R and Video. This socket can be located at the back of your TV. If you expects a beetter picture quality, you can connect the TV-DVD by S-Video cable. If you connect it via Audio Video cabe, switch the TV to get AV-1, AV-2 etc, by input selector option. If you connect S-Video cable, Select TV' to recive S-video input via its input selector option. You can do these selections by the help of TVs remote control. OK.

What channel does video player work on?

Depends which input you are using, usually on video 1 or 2. Using the AV button (with your video connected up) switch through the various AV channels then you will see which one is set to your video player (you must have a video in the player on play to detect it working etc). It doesn't matter which input you use, it really is about what you prefer.

My TV is stuck on video and i don't have the original remote

Most TV have controls on them - usually hidden on front of the TV via pull down flap. Worth checking the side and top of TV if you cant find it on front .

When youve located the controls - press the source or AV button to reach the channel you want. If you not sure about the button go for the one indicated by a square box symbol.

If theres no control panel on your TV then try unplugging it and leaving it for a few hours. Disconnect any devices (such as DVD/VCR player, consoles etc) just leave your aerial/cable/digibox plugged hopefully your TV will have no choice but to pick up TV channels once its switched on.

All the best

Trying to hook up dvd player to ET413E TV

Hi I am Vortash most Tv sets have a channel change button on the front of the set sometimes behind a drop down panel it will have the symbol AV written on it .. when pressed the set will say either Av1 AV2 etc or Aux 1 aux 2 .. if you have scart sockets on the back usually Av 1 is this socket and Av2 the front sockets Phono or Bnc plugs .. sometimes the Av is switched by pressing the program button to Zero or Av from the front set controls + and - Prog .. If you are unsure you can download a manual for your set if you don't have one from http://www.safemanuals.com
free of charge usually and it will explain all the conections you need ... Regards Vortash

IN TV i have not get a picture on av mode mean av is not switching in this tv IC 9380PS as microproccessor IC & 24c16 as memory IC

look to the IC near the AV jack there is a AV switch IC. try to replace it. but some tv use a large IC jungle which is the AV sw. is also inside that large IC.So study carefully if your tv has a separate AV sw. IC..

JVC av-32fa44 The menu (picture, sound settings, etc)will appear and scroll through all the settings continuosly, and remote cannot close the menu. Power off tv for a minute will clear the problem, but...

Sounds like one of the front panel buttons is jammed. press each one and see if any fail to "rebound" or feel different from the rest. You can usually work the button in a 'circular motion" to release it. If the buttons seem normal , it's possible that the switch inside the TV has collapsed

Resolder the vertical deflection output IC421. It is located about three inches to the left of the flyback transformer which is the part with the red cable going to the picture tube.
