Question about Dell Axim X5 Pocket PC

Avantgo I am getting this error when I try to sync with Avantgo: MAL Server result: Failure with error 5459. Any ideas?

Rather than have the Avantgo updates done through activesync do this. Unclick Avantgo choice from activesync Leave the Axim in the cradle start settings Connections avantgo connect Sync All

I am unsure myself after looking at this Pocket PC software matrix. Today I use AvantGo in my HP Jornada under PPC2000, but it seems it is not installed in the PPC 2002 software according to this matrix. Maybe there is a download you have to do, or settings for your server access you have to make?

ActiveSync Not Working


it might be trying to configure a microsoft exchange sync thats why its giving you that message you may want to try and uninstall activesync and download the lastest verizon 4.5. during install do not click on check box that says connect to exchange server and try to sync again, should get you taken care of,

Serious Issue re ActiveSync 4.5, HTC Touch, WM6


Try this, I read it on a microsoft.com forum.
Disconnect the device from the PC.
Open Activesync on the device.
Open the "Menu".
Click "Options"
Uncheck "E-mail" from Data you want to Sync.
Click "Done"
and re-sync devise to PC.

Once I did that, my contacts and all my appointments sync'd.
Hope that helps...
It seems tons of people have had this annoying issue.

Its probably conflicting with some app. My palm has gone into infinite reset loops till I did a hard reset. Back up your data, and do a hard reset. (THIS WILL DELETE ALL DATA, AND RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS)
(hold the power button, and press the reset button, release the reset button (keep holding the power), wait till you see the ORANGE screen (after the loading bar), and release the power. )

Suddenly, can't sync PDA


When duplicate items are resolved, are they normally dealt with automatically? If so then you could try to do this manually to get an idea of what the problem is.

Help with Avantgo


You don't really need for it to. You can go to setting on your Axim, then to connections, and use the avant go connection, to connect, and synch with avant go that way. You can synch to avant go that way, with any internet connection. If it's connected to active synch as a guest then you can't synch with active synch also.

Lifedrive calendar - private items


Fix in Outlook?? Isn't there a way to keep private appts from showing in Outlook? Perhaps you could change the setting on that side? Did you have trouble getting your LifeDrive to sync w/Calendar in the first place? I've managed to get all BUT calendar syncing (and it's the MOST IMPORTANT part of Outlook that needs to sync!!)... any advice?

IPAQ 3955 Won't Sync?


Try uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling ActiveSync on the host. If you haven't yet upgraded to 3.6, maybe upgrading will clear up the problem.

Communication failure with Outlook when Hotsync-ing Visor Neo


Hi,
As per your info, it seems that some system file got corrupted / deleted from your system(as .mspst.dll). So request you to reinstall your outlook / XP.

As you can also take some help from below link

Fatal Exception every time I sync.


Check docs to go and Avantgo Documents to Go and Avantgo are usually the culprit with me; if you use these try to reinstall. Check (delete and reinstall) "complex" applications, build to be able to use databases on the SD card. The final straw is the procedure suggested by Palm; -make a copy of your back-up from the palm directory; program files/palmone/van/backup. - do a hard reset - reinstall the applications one by one, hotsync after every install until you have found the offending application

Unresolved Items when synching


Try the following.... Open Active sync on your PC. Double Click on Calendar. Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments. SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments. SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)
