Just found one in the trash with the no turn on problem. Opened up the back and the fuse and first capacitor were blown. find the fuse and replace it. If your capacitor is also blown (black and crusty anywhere) grab a soldering iorn and replace that puppy!

Wait until the power comes back on? Plug the TV back in? The obvious solutions are usually the best.

Magnavox 37MF23ID, would not turn on. Power button only blinks (green light). We have switched power cords and nothing happens. No picture, no sound.

if the power light comes on but the screen stays black, then your TV might be on the wrong input Channel. for example: you switch inputs when you play games or watch dvds vs. watching regular tv. Try to change the input

TV will not power up, no lights blinking just a continuous beeping sound

Please follow the below troubleshooting steps: 1. If the Television is plugged into a surge protector, remove it from the surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. 2. Try connecting the TV to a different AC wall outlet. 3. Try power resetting the TV. To Reset the TV, disconnect the power cord for a short period of time (approximately 1 minute), then reconnect the power cord and power ON the TV. 4. If the issue still persists, TV will require service.

On WGN HD, watching the Cubs game, the white color in the crowd and mortar in the brick walls pulsate. Very distracting.

just try to reset your LCD TV if reset button available there if not. The you unplug power cord for 4 hours then plug it again.

Good luck:

Brand new LG plasma stuck on test screens

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

Hope it may help you;

Problem with toshiba 65H84

Good Day, mowattearl;

The most common with this TOS TV is the failure of the convergence IC's, but rebooting, resetting first, unplug TV from wall for 3-5 minutes then plug back into wall. The "conv" IC's are STK's, large black devices mounted to a large heat sink on the verticle.

Good luck, big IRISH.

Green flashing light - no picture

If the green power light is blinking and you have no picture, then your light bulb has burned out and needs to be replaced. It is not a cheap bulb to replace. If the TV is less than 1 year old it should be covered by the warranty
