Wide zoom flash problem

Ok...I am new to the digital camera world. I just bought the Olympus C-5060 Wide Zoom. I seem to be having some problems with my slow flash. Pixs come out blue. Can anyone offer me some suggestions on how to correct this problem.

Re: wide zoom flash problem

I haven't used that particular camera, but it would sound a bit like a problem with the white balance setting. Check your manual about white balance adjustment and try to take a few test shots manually adjusting the white balance to see if this might be the case.

Connect an FL-20, FL-36, FL-40 or FL-50 external flash

The FL-20, FL-36, FL-40 or FL-50 dedicated external flash can be attached directly to the hot shoe on the camera. To use the FL-20, FL-36, FL-40 or FL-50 flash off-camera, you will need a bracket and appropriate flash cable. Please use the following information as a reference: FL-BK01 Flash Bracket (item #200666) - used to mount an external flash to the C-5060 Wide Zoom. FL-CB02 Hot Shoe to TTL Cable (item #200663)- this cable is required for the dedicated FL-20, FL-36, FL-40, or FL-50 flash.

IESP auto focus

iESP is the default auto focus setting for the C-5060 Wide Zoom camera. It uses a contrast detecting system, to analyze the entire image by comparing the subject against the background to achieve focus. When the shutter button is pressed half way on the C-5060 Wide Zoom, the AF target zone automatically moves the to an area of the image where it finds the optimal contrast.

Connect an external flash

For off camera flash with the C-5060 Wide Zoom, you will need the appropriate flash cable with your flash and aftermarket bracket. Please use the following information as a reference: FL-CB05 Shoe Mount TTL Flash Cable (item #200707) - this cable mounts to the Hot Shoe on the C-5060 Wide Zoom; and the opposite end attaches to the aftermarket flash bracket's flash shoe or to a standard tripod attachment thread (1/4x20).
