Question about Sharp AR-207 Copier
I recently purchased a used Sharp AR-207 copier from a personal ad. It worked as far a printing a couple sheets before I tried using the bypass to handfeed it. That's when problems started. The U2-40 error started flashing. I since replaced the toner and chip as I read as a possible solution on this site. Didn't help. I tried the other solutions I read on this site as well, but nothing works. I have the user manuel, but I can't find anything that addresses this problem. The START button does not light up and so none of the others buttons work as well. The indidcator says that the paper tray does NOT have paper in it, but it DOES. Does the machine have a restart button or fuse that I am not aware of that will fix this? Or what? Any suggestions? Thanks for your anticipated help!!
U2 is a memory error. It's either the RAM or the ERPROM. A techincian has to look at it and determine which part it is and replace it. The copier won't run until it is fixed. It could be a loose memory board as well.
