one thing i like to do is fill a container with b12 chem tool and hook this up to your fuel like and run it for about a min on b12 it will want to bog and die but just keep it going then disconnect that and run it completely out of fuel, after this you can take an air line and blow into the fuel line inlet on the carb that will clear any **** out of the jets good luck -jeff please rate

Legend tt cuts out when put in gear

My bike cut out after a short time when the choke was released when warm. I changed the crank position sensor and did all relevant checks. took it to a Triumph dealer who took three weeks to repair the bike. They said that it turned out to be a perished carb' diaphragm which let the needle drop when as vacuum decreased when the revs dropped as the choke was returned.

I charge my new battery and my bike runs great but the engine is not recharging it. The battery eventually gets drained and I have to start all over again. Why and how can I fix this? Its a 2000 suzuki...

If your Charging system isn't working properly it won't. Take a Multi Meter. Take the Leads to your battery. Start the Bike and run it up to 2k or higher rpm. The Voltage should increase the higher your rpms get. Up to 14vdc or about. If it doesn't go up then something in your charging system is acting up. Stator, Regulator something of that nature

I have a Triumph TT600 2000 model. The battery keeps going flat after about a weeks riding (without lights as this makes it worse,). I have paid around $800-$900 dollars to a triumph motorcycle repairer,...

You will have to check the charging rate of your bike, normally it should give an output of around 13.8Volts to 14Volts.
If the readings are lower thn tht, thn there is a problem in the bike's charging system.
Hope this helps!

Bike cuts out at higher RPMs

It sounds like you did a good job - but, did you adjust the float? You will use more gas now and at high RPM you may be running ouy of gas - Check floats specs and adjust

Buyinf question/maintance costs

All bikes are expensive to service. The Legend is easy to work on so buy a Haynes manual and order OEM parts from dealers or Bike Bandit. You might have an ignition coil or fork seal to go bad. I've had my Legend for 9 years and have had one of each. Every 2 years change the hydraulic fluid for the brakes and clutch. If you use fully synthetic oil in the engine it will last 6,000 miles or 1 year as will the oil filter. Replacing spark plugs is difficult but they last a long, long time. Valves are shim type and rarely need to be reshimmed. If you replace the front sprocket you will need a new gasket for the sprocket cover. Trust me on that. Good luck and ride safe.
