I have a white plastic tube ab out 8 inches long that has fell off inside my
dishwasher. The washer was iin the house when we purchased it and we
do not have a manual. Could you tell me how to reinstall the pipe? It
appears to come from the wash column. Thank you
Have you figured your dishwasher problem out yet? In my Whirlpool, that tube doesn't fit on the wash column, it just snaps on to the lower rack, right above the washer column black rubber gasket... hope this helps!!!

You may have to break the little handle off to open it and order a new door latch mechanism. Just be careful. This is a lip latch so it wont be hard if you can get to where the latch connects. Use the internet and model to order new one.
We also have a Quiet series 100 and had the same problem, the dishes always came out dingy or with food all over them. My washer is about 5 years old and worked well for about 4 of them but the last year has been doing a poorer and poorer job washing the dishes. I finally broke down and removed the racks and all of the plastic parts from the inside of the washer. Doing this revealed that the groves in the under side of most of the plastic parts was clogged with food and debris. After a good scrubbing with water and a brush then reassembly it worked like a new washer again, cleaning the dishes very well and the best part is it saved us about $700.00 for another washer.
Could be a a couple different issues.. Not filling with enough water or food chopper broke or food chopper filter screen clogged.
Check water level: Run the DW and wait for the main wash to start (water will fill. pause then complete fill) The water should be no more than 1/4 inch below the heating element. If not there..replace water inlet valve.
Inspect food chopper: Remove lower spray arm and rear water supply tube to upper spray arm. Remove torx screws that secure the sump cover. Remove the rounded cover on the left side to expose the chopper assembly. Inspect for breakage of blockage. There may be an additional plastic screen to remove first.
john, the dishwasher has a timed fill, make sure you are using 3/8 inch line. If you are using 1/4 inch, that would be your problem. The fill should be just below the heating element. If you are using the 3/8 inch line, the next suspect would be the fill valve itself. Make sure nothing is kinked, Catriver.
I have an MDBH945AWW. I FIXED IT! They are getting in thru the water inlet/vent in the lower bottom left of the dishwasher. Here's how we fixed it: 1. Turn off water to machine if possible. Open the door, remove screws on side and top that hold dishwasher in place. Pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Remove racks from inside. 2. Remove the sound insulation blanket. Mine was a mouse nest so I threw the thing out. Not going to replace it as the noise increase is minimal. 3. On the left side of the tub outside there is a tube that comes from under and is hooked to a small plastic box with an open top. THIS is the point of entry! 4. Poke a long screwdriver or something down into the box and pop the plastic tension prongs free. Reach into the dishwasher and remove the circular plastic grill. 5. Twist the plastic box to the right or left until the tabs line up and it will pop out of the side of the tub. Remove the tube from the box. The box should now be free. 6. Cut a square of 1/4 hardware mesh cloth (flexible metal grid) and cut a hole to fit over the nipple for the tube. Put mesh over the top of the box, secure in place with really heavy duty tape. Something strong like Gorilla Tape or even metal tape for ducts.... conventional duct tape will not hold after a year or so. I taped all around the edges and sealed it down only leaving the top with the mesh exposed. 7. Put the tube back on and then reinstall the box and then the grill. 8. Take this time to SUPER CLEAN the area under and around the dishwasher. Even the outside of the washer. Mice return to the smell of their poop. 9. Put the washer back in and don't forget the screws as well as turning the water back on.
