The buttom half of my keyboard isn't working does any one know how to fix it?

Sometimes with different hardware from different companies are not universally supported, if it is a Bluetooth keyboard then most likely its different than the actual factory standard Bluetooth keyboard for the IOS(Apple) technology and will not work unless you have an IOS or (Apple) certified type of technology that can be used for your personal use in the technology it supports
Under system preferences go to keyboard and mouse, click on set up new deviceselect the type of device you are wanting to setup and follow the instructions. If you have used the keyboard or mouse on another computer it could be that they are paired to that computer to unpair them you can use the instructions shown on the following webpage http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6859171
Do you know if the keyboard has come into contact with any liquid? That can cause shorts in some of the connectors. Regardless of reason for failure, these keyboards, when they start failing, do not have repair options. Purchasing a new or used one will be the only option.
Keep in mind that these wired keyboards are also no longer made by Apple, but you can find them online at various sites. You can also use different Apple-friendly brands like Logitech if you'd prefer to stay with a wired keyboard.
Operating System doesn't deal anything on your problem. The problem depends on the brand of you computers or the type of keyboard you are using.
The GCS632U is designed to work with standard USB keyboard and mouse only. And wireless and gaming keyboards and mice are not guaranteed to work correctly with this KVM switch. If any one of you is using the new Mac Aluminum keyboard, this keyboard will not work with the older version of the GCS632U. But IOGEAR releases a new batch of GCS632U that would work with the Apple Aluminum keyboard.
If you have an Apple Aluminum keyboard that does not work with the GCS632U, you may contact the IOGEAR Tech support and they will process a Return Merchandize Authorization (RMA) if your device is still under the warranty period.
To resolve your keyboard issue, try to power cycle the KVM switch by disconnecting it from the computers, disconnect also the keyboard and mouse from the KVM switch. Leave it disconnected for two minutes. After two minutes, reconnect everything and reboot the computers.
