Question about Apple M9034LL/A Keyboard

Ekse: Aluminum keyboard follow-up

The keyboard works fine on a different computer, Ekse.

A friend’s Apple Pro Keyboard Version: 4.20 works fine on my iMac.

I thought that maybe an application upgrade by Software Updater might have started the problem BUT the software upgrade log and keyboard history does not support this theory.

Hey,

The problem is definitely on the computer - software side. as both of the keyboards work fine, its just a software issue. Can you get the original software back to your mac?

Are the keyboard and mouse both 'wireless'? Try using a different keyboard on your computer, or taking the keyboard to a friend's computer. You do not say if you are on a laptop or a PC?

are you sure its a issue with the keyboard, I would suggest trying these two keyboards on another system to see if they really are at fault.

I just purchased a new pc and it came with an Inland 70119 2.4GHZ wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse works great, but I cannot get the keyboard to do anything. I have tried different batteries,...

If the keyboard and mouse came together, and the mouse works fine, and you've tired drivers, batteries, etc, then the only other possible issue is that the keyboard is bad.

Try connecting the keyboard and mouse to a different computer to verify this, otherwise replace the keyboard and see what happens.

Hope this helps

Make sure to run all available software updates as there's probably a firmware update for your keyboard you need to download.

If there isn't or the problem persists afterwards, you'll need to go into Apple Menu > System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse > Keyboard and uncheck 'Use all F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys.'

Good luck!

Under system preferences go to keyboard and mouse, click on set up new deviceselect the type of device you are wanting to setup and follow the instructions. If you have used the keyboard or mouse on another computer it could be that they are paired to that computer to unpair them you can use the instructions shown on the following webpage

Hey my friends keyboard is typing letters incorrectly, can you help? It started when she tried remote assistance on the windows live program, and she has windows xp with a gateway keyboard

It may be that the default settings for the keyboard have been set to a different language/regional area.

You could try changing it and see if it works.

If you wish to change the keyboard layout, you can do this by right clicking on your taskbar and select "language bar". When this is done, right click on the keyboard symbol and select "settings".

Alternatively, go start>control panel>regional settings> and change it there.

If you have "good batteries" installed in the mouse and keyboard and you still have the problem- the best way is to remove the devices via the System Preference panel in your MacBook and then re-install them again. It is important that you remove them first as the system may revert to the previous connection. Good luck!

The keyboard on my macbook pro will not work.

It seems as if your keyboard and mouse just died. Turn off your computer and take out your battery and let it sit. If this does not work take it to your local Apple store or contact an Apple representative. If this helped rate me!
