I HAVE A GALAXY 33 THAT HAS MOST OF CHANNELS MIXED UP OR GONE.
FOR EXAMPLE CHANNEL 19 AND 20 ARE THE SAME. EVERY ONE SAYS IT SOUNDS
GOOD ON ALL CHANNELS THAT WORK. WHAT COULD BE MY PROBLEM? I
HAVE TAKEN TO SEVERAL CB SHOPS WITH NO LUCK.

Re: CHANNELS MOVED OR MISSING
Yes, the PCB band selector board. That's exactly what's wrong. You can replace this yourself. The board is held on the side of the radio with one little screw and has 3 or 4 connectors that plug into it. Maycomm is where I get my new Galaxy parts from http://maycomcomm.com/

local channels are usually below a channel 1000. they are always on same assigned channel. If your cable box or tv has it, it has option to not display channels with no service on them. you can't reassign the channel numbers. they are channels but not being displayed.
What are you needing can you explain more detail. And all the exports base radios are the same schematic as. Are the mobiles. The galaxy 33 and gal 99 are the same radio just the 33 doesn't have the ssb parts
Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. Take off the cover, with the circuit side down, take a plastic tuning tool, you can get one at your local electronics store. turn your channel select to midway of the band. make sure your modulation is turned off. Key your mic and tune VR13 to the Maximum on the watt meter. this is for the power. Next, locate VR14 turn the modulation up, and say ahhhhhhhhh, repeat if needed. Thanks for choosing FixYa....John
You simply need to perform the auto-setup when you first use the television. The freeview HD channels will tune in at the same time as the standard def. (SD) channels. You will find them in your channel list but there are only 3 freeview HD channels currently available - BBC HD (Channel 50), ITV1 HD (Channel 51) and Channel 4 HD (Channel 52).
If these channels are missing, it's may be because the HD broadcasts haven't started in your area yet. Please visit this page and enter your postcode to find out if you can get these channels:
Here is how to try and get them back if they are available. On the original TV remote do the following- 1. Press the MENU button 2. Use the channel down button to select channel set 3. Select channel add/delete 4. Press volume up 5. Select channel you want to add by using the channel up/down buttons on remote. 6. When you get to the channel you want use the Volume up button and the color of the channel number should become either blue or green if it is added and it will be red if it is deleted. 7. Repeat until you have added all the channels you feel you are missing. 8. Press MENU button to exit. If the channels are still available this should get them to return. If not contact you cable provider to see if they have moved some of their channels recently or check their web site for the current channel line up.
Turn the power off to the receiver and let it run its course. It should download a new program guide at this time. Another thing is to make sure you are on ALL SUB on the guide as opposed to a favorite self created guide. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
I believe you are getting mixed up between channels and programs.
Normally program 00 is used for VHS as it has slightly different parameters for colour and brightness.
If the TV has about 39 or more programs which can be programmed in from the on screen menu, try using program 20 for the video and 30 for the cable. For this to work you must do the on screen frequency scanning from channels 22 to 69 (UK) and select VCR, CATV, VHF, UHF, etc.
I have used program 00 and 20 for two VHS recorders, working on channel 33 and 35 for example, but you must tune them to 33 and 35 on the `Tune' screwdriver hole by the aerial input sockets of the recorders.
I expect if your cable unit plugs into your aerial socket of the TV that it has an adjustment for what channel it is on.
The TV on screen menu may be different in some countries, so it would help if I knew where you are.
