SOURCE: my kodak easyshare M753 has pink tint and lines

its obvious a malfunction that didn't occur by bad handling ..and if the device it is still in the warranty period , my advice is to go for it if you never open it or other things that you wouldn't suppose to do

SOURCE: camera locked - camera error #E45

Hi

www.Kodak.com says:
"E45" appears on your camera's display when your camera requires service or repair.

I think it is a lens error. They have a page on www.kodak.com called Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair. This is for USA only.
See what they suggest.

I may be cheaper just to get a new camera.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.

When I turn on my camera, the screen is dark, and I can't see the picture when I take it

Hhhmmm. This sounds like a 2 case problem. 1) You may have either switched your display to viewfinder. Many of these cameras let you flip back and forth between the viewscreen and the viewfinder.
2) It can either mean that your lcd screen is off. Make sure that you take the cover off the lens, and turn the lcd screen/display monitor on. Or it can mean that your optical sensor is down/dead :(
If you have warranty for the camera than you can resend it to Kodak and get a new one. If you don't then just go ahead to a local camera shop and they can get your sensor switched, will cost a few bucks. Try radioshack, they always have some insight on these type of problems. If you can't, then just go ahead and buy a new camera. Cause without the optical sensor, the camera is not much of use.
Hope I was of any help!

My sons kodak easyshare cx6230 only takes black/blank images. Screen works, but all photos taken are black. Suggestions please?

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Hey, my Kodak camera lens is stuck, Its like halfw...

If the lens is stuck out then you will find it is usually one of a few reasons.

1. Check the
batteries. (obvious I know).
2. The
camera has been dropped or knocked.
3. The camera has grit or dirt in the lens mechanism.

Providing the batteries are ok then 2 and 3 usually mean a professional repair. The lenses tend not to be something that the average
home user can remove and take apart. The cost of repair also might be more than the camera value so you will need to find a good repair shop near you and get a quote.

Hi

No 'camera shop' out there will be able to fix your camera, they will all just want to send it to Kodak for a new lens and will want about $150-200 for the job.

I know one place online that can probably help you out. Google: "darntoothysam"

KODAK eASYSHARE c530 BLACK SCREEN DOES NOT TAKE PICTURE

You may still be able to take pictures with your black screened Kodak camera. This problem occurs in the line of Kodak EasyShare digital camera models.

When you turn on your Kodak EasyShare digital camera, turn off the LiveView function. Take a picture using the small-windowed viewfinder (this is not the LCD screen). Also, try zooming in and out.

After taking a picture, review the picture to see if the picture has been taken. Then turn on LiveView and occasionally the LCD screen should no longer be showing a black screen.
